Grey Wars Series Shot In Serbian Prison, National Assembly & Military Compounds

In September 2022 Clockwork began filming Indian TV series Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond, directed by famous director Santosh Sing who came for the second time with his project to film in Serbia with Clockwork Films. His first project “Apharan 2” was a great success shot in 2021 when the production went smoothly in Serbia, so the new series Ranneeti was a comeback and huge excitement for the Clockwork team. The series stars Jimmy Shergill, Ashutosh Rana, Suneel Sinha but also Serbian stars Ivan Jeftovic, Milos Cvetkovic and Slovenian actor Taiji Tokuhisa. With the special permissions Clockwork succeeded to obtain filming Ranneeti in Zabela, Serbian prison, then in the National Assembly, Batajnica military airport and Pozarevac military compound. As history repeats, the beautiful city of Novi Sad and its poetic architecture were chosen again as one of the most iconic sets for Ranneeti project.

Inspired by true events, the show is a war room drama that will take the viewers behind the scenes of one of the landmarking and definitive defence operations of India and the ensuing mission when India fought back, marking the first-ever series to depict the 2019 warfare. The teaser that just came out offered a glimpse into an incredible story that explores the intricacies of the Balakot operation, delving into lesser-known aspects, strategies, and challenges that shaped the trajectory of events. The teaser captivates viewers, setting the stage for an engaging narrative that promises to provide a unique perspective on these significant historical events.

Hiring more than 150 local crew members and 330 extras around these specific locations was a challenging task for Clockwork production but high professionalism and great enthusiasm gave fantastic results on the screen. Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond will soon be available to stream on JioCinema.
